Meters are read through a satellite system each month. The Water Department upgraded within the last few years to be able to get a daily usage report for consumers if necessary. There is currently 1 full time employee and 1 part-time employee for the Meter Department. These 2 perform all re-reads that are necessary, water taps, meter change outs and daily oversight of meters.
Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative Supervisor made approximately 33 taps. Most of the taps were for new residential and business connections, indicating continued growth for Moberly.
The Meter Department employees performed approximately 3,000 rereads, and changed approximately 26 meters.
