Volunteering with MPRD

Every year, Moberly Parks and Recreation holds a multitude of programs, classes and special events. These events and activities rely heavily on the dozens of volunteers that work tirelessly to benefit the Parks and Recreation Department. It is not only a lot of fun, but a great way to give back to your community. But….

WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS!

There are a lot of great ways to volunteer with Moberly Parks and Recreation. Some of the opportunities include:

•   Driving a Golf Cart for our “Courtesy Cart” program at the Athletic Complex.
•  Helping out with one of our Special Events, like the Show-Me State Games, Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, or Cardboard Boat Regatta.
•   Helping to teach one of our Craft Classes, or teaching a class yourself!
Interested in teaching a class or leading activities? Fill out the Class Proposal form!
•  Helping the Friends of the Park with the Miniature Railroad.
•  Picking up garbage at Rothwell Park to keep it Beautiful!
•  Many, Many more options!

If you are interested in volunteering for Moberly Parks and Recreation, you need to give us a call and let us know. We will have you fill out a volunteer interest sheet, which gives us an idea of where you would like to volunteer, what hours you are available, etc.

When you volunteer for Moberly Parks and Recreation, your time spent will truly make a difference! Volunteer today!

Operating a large park system is an expensive endeavor made possible by the generous citizens of the Moberly area. Opportunities exist to donate to specific projects. For questions, contact Moberly Parks & Recreation.
