Insurance and Retirement

Health Insurance

The City of Moberly offers two different Health Insurance Plans for its employees.

  • The Buy Up plan is a $500.00 deductible plan
  • The Core plan is a $1,000 deductible plan.

You can obtain a copy of the City of Moberly’s Health Plan Booklet from Human Resource Office, 101 West Reed Street, Moberly, MO 65270.

Dental Insurance
  • City pays the premium for employees.
  • Optional dependent coverage is available at a cost of $40 per month per family unit.
  • You may download the current dental plan.
Life Insurance

The City provides minimum of $20,000 Term Life Insurance Policy Salaries Over $20,000 The Life Insurance Is One (1) X’s Your Salary

Retirement Benefit

Totally paid for by the City and provided by the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS).

Leave, Time Off, Holidays/Vacation

Sick Leave

Each full-time employee will accrue sick leave at the rate of (3.69) hours per pay period, with the exception of members of the Fire Department, who accrue sick leave at the rate of (5.4) hours per pay period.  There are no limits to the amount of sick leave that may be accumulated.  Sick leave is accrued in an amount proportional to regular hours worked during a pay period.

Full-time employee will accrue sick leave: 3.69 hr. per pay period

Fire Department members: 5.4 hr. per pay period

Long Term Disability: Paid for by the City.

Fire Department holiday schedule is different due to their work schedule.
