Water Plant Operator and Skilled Maintenance Worker
The Moberly Public Utilities Department is interviewing for the following full-time positions:
- Water Plant Operator (1 Opening)
- Skilled Maintenance/Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Department (4 Positions open)

Applicants with experience in water, sewer, and storm water construction, repair and maintenance, strong work ethic and ability to think and work independently are encouraged to apply.
The City is seeking a Water Plant operator experienced in maintenance of equipment including electrical, mechanical (pumps, motors, chemical feeders, valves, etc), laboratory testing, and basic math skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems and follow instructions is desired.
Applicants must possess a valid Missouri Driver’s License and High School Diploma or GED. MO DSI (skilled maint.), Water Operator Class D (Water Plant) Certification and CDL license, or have ability to obtain within 12 months.
On-call required for skilled maintenance employees. Water Plant operator shift work required, 10 days on, 4 days off. Applicants must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen and random drug testing during employment.

Fire Fighter-Full Time
The Moberly Fire Department was established in 1872 with a rich history in the fire service. We are looking to provide a well trained and professional department, which not only provides fire protection, but will enhance services in medical response field, special rescue operations, and Hazardous Material protection to the community.
The Moberly Fire Department is accepting applications at Moberly City Hall, Personnel Office 101 West Reed Street until 5:00 p.m. April 4, 2017. This position works a standard fire department 24-48 schedule. Moberly provides health, and dental insurances with an excellent retirement.
Prospective applicants must, pass a criminal background check and have a valid Missouri operator’s license with a safe driving record. All applicants must be 18 years of age. Verifiable Fire Fighter I, II, and EMT is preferred but not required. Those under the age of 21 must have Firefighter I and II.
