A Message From Our Director

Welcome to Moberly Parks and Recreation!

Public service is first and foremost for government organizations. This includes offering services effectively, efficiently, and with quality customer service. We at the Moberly Parks and Recreation Department hope to enhance the Moberly area’s quality of life while living up to these standards.

Moberly Parks and Recreation offers great parks, facilities, and programs to area residents. While Rothwell Park naturally draws the most attention due to its vast size and amenities, Moberly Parks and Recreation oversees other great parks including Lion’s Beuth Park, Fox Park, and Tannehill Park. Our facilities and amenities include an Aquatic Center, Howard Hils Athletic Complex, Municipal Auditorium, the Lodge, the James Youth Center, picnic shelters, a one mile long miniature train, disc golf courses, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, boat rentals, campground with full hookups, and more!

Moberly Parks and Recreation also offers or co-sponsors great programming from sporting events and a 4th of July celebration to a Trick-or-Treat Trail and Christmas Lights in the Park. For a full schedule of events and all other Department information, view our Activity Guide.

We hope you enjoy our parks, facilities, and recreational opportunities as they create a well-rounded community, a strong quality of life, and many economic benefits. We are constantly looking for cost-effective ways to improve our parks, facilities, and programs as well as the benefits the public receives from them. Through the years, area taxpayers have been generous in supporting Parks and Recreation with their hard-earned tax dollars and we always welcome your ideas.
