“This microseal application creates a structurally sound asphalt pavement while limiting the deterioration of the surface aggregate along with filling minor rutting and small pot holes,” said Public Works Director, Tom Sanders. “This treatment can add up to 10 years of service life.

We ask for your patience and that community members give city crews plenty of room to complete street improvements in a timely manner.

Following the microseal application, approximately four hours of cure time is required to prevent damage from traffic. The most common damage occurs by backing through, driving around barricades, and driving through fresh material. This results in ruts and rough sections throughout city streets.

Residents are advised to proceed with caution in the following areas as the application process is in progress.

If you would like more information regarding this application process, please contact the City of Moberly, Public Works Department, at 660.269.9450.
