Sugar Creek Lake
Sugar Creek Lake (lake) is a 330 acre reservoir on Sugar Creek located approximately 4 miles northeast of the City of Moberly and serves as the City’s sole drinking water source. The City owns the lake and approximately 269 acres adjacent to the shoreline. Although the lake’s primary use is as the drinking water supply for the City, the lake is also used frequently for recreation. Stakeholders with an interest in the lake’s water quality and quantity include, but are not limited to drinking water consumers, recreationists, and landowners within the Sugar Creek Lake watershed.
Waste Water Treatment Plant
The Moberly Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) was constructed in 1997, financed by a Missouri State Revolving Fund loan that was repaid using a .5 cent sales tax passed by the voters of Moberly.
Water Billing & Collections
The Water Billing and Collections Department is a division of the Public Utilities Department, and is responsible for management of customer accounts for water and sewer service for the City.
Water Treatment Plant
The City of Moberly Water Treatment Plant (WTP) has a rated capacity of 5 million gallons per day (MGD) and operates at average flow of 1,250 gallons per minute.
