[ARCHIVED] New Officers Complete LETI Program

LETI Grads

The University of Missouri Extension’s Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI) celebrated the graduation of thirty-three recruits on Thursday morning, three of whom will become officers with the Moberly Police Department.
Devin Chenoweth, Casey Ginn, and Brendan Robb completed the Class A-certified 600-hour basic law enforcement training program, which totaled nearly 700 hours of instruction over 19 weeks. Graduates have passed the rigorous Missouri Department of Public Safety’s Peace Officer Standards and Training Program (POST) licensing test.
The academy prepares recruits with coursework that covers constitutional and Missouri statutory law, traffic law, ethics, human behavior, tactical communications, and criminal investigation. Training also includes firearms qualifications, driver training, physical conditioning, and practical application exercises.
Family members, along with Department and City staff, attended the graduation. The graduates will be sworn in during an upcoming ceremony before beginning their service in law enforcement in the city.
The Moberly Police Department welcomes Officers Chenoweth, Ginn, and Robb to the community and looks forward to investing in their future on the force!
