Fire Training Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Moberly, Missouri – April 5, 2024 – The City of Moberly, Missouri, is proud to announce the receipt of federal Community Project Funding from Congressman Sam Graves for $1.19 million. The funding, provided through the USDA Community Facilities program, will go toward construction of a modern training center and fire station for the City of Moberly.

The City of Moberly anticipates that this allocation will not only enhance the emergency response capabilities of its Fire Department, but also significantly contribute to the overall safety and preparedness of the community. The training center, equipped with cutting-edge facilities and resources, will serve as a hub for professional development, skill enhancement, and collaborative training exercises for firefighters and emergency responders.

Mayor Tim Brubaker expressed his gratitude, stating, "We are grateful for the support and commitment of Congressman Sam Graves to our community. With the construction of the training center and the fire station, we are taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. This investment will empower our Fire Department with the necessary tools and training to effectively respond to emergencies and safeguard our community."

The City of Moberly recognizes the invaluable partnership with Congressman Sam Graves, whose advocacy and dedication were instrumental in securing this funding.

“I’m proud to secure this funding for Moberly so they can equip and train their emergency personnel,” said Rep Graves. “Our firefighters and first responders go above and beyond to keep our communities safe. It’s critical that they are properly trained, and this funding will help ensure that happens for years to come.

Final engineering of the training center at the new fire station is slated to commence in the coming months. The City of Moberly looks forward to continued collaboration with federal and local stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of this vital project.
