Communication Operator Employment and Application

Job Description:

911 Telecommunications Operators answer multiple 911 and non-emergency calls, radio transmissions, and dispatches Fire, Law Enforcement and EMS for the entire county of Randolph. This position qualifies for overtime opportunities and paid training (no experience required).

Salary:

$18.04/hr (night shift differential of $0.50/hr)

Qualifications:

  • 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Pass a fingerprint-based background check
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Must type 35 WPM
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be motivated, possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn
